2002, three diners at a newly opened Britney Spears owned restaurant suffered food poisoning. The three students who had eaten wild striped bass at the New York restaurant made official complaints and vowed never to eat there again.

2000, Harvard professor Ronald Ferguson accused the culture of hip-hop and rap music of stalling academic progress among young American blacks. He claimed time spent learning intricate rhyming lyrics detracted from reading.

1996, The Fugees held the UK No.1 position on the singles chart with 'Killing Me Softly'.

1989, Prince was at No.1 on the UK album chart with 'Batman.'

2005, the world's biggest music stars united in concerts around the world to put pressure on political leaders ahead of the G8 summit to tackle poverty in Africa. Concerts in 10 cities, including London, Philadelphia, Paris, Berlin, Johannesburg, Rome and Moscow played to hundreds of thousands of people. A TV audience of several hundred million watched the gigs. In London Pink Floyd, The Who, Madonna, U2, Coldplay, Sting, The Scissor Sisters, Keane, and Paul McCartney performed. Philadelphia saw, Destiny's Child, Jay Z and Bon Jovi, Canada, Bryan Adams and Neil Young headlined, Bjork headlined in Tokyo and Green Day played in Berlin.

1991, Axl Rose caused a riot to break out during a Guns N' Roses gig at the Riverpoint Amphitheatre, Maryland Heights. Rose had jumped into the crowd to remove a camera from a fan, over 50 people were injured and 15 fans were arrested.

CHI1 was by far my favorite show of this tour. I am thinking about doing a ranking of the Radiohead shows I have been to... It's been an incredible last week and a half......too bad it's over but I believe they will be touring next summer!

Another incredible Radiohead concert! It was kind of weird seeing them in a theatre, but it was still cool. I think I actually prefer to see them in outdoor pavilions(good ones) with about 20,000 people, the energy from 20,000 fans is incredible and being outside in nature is great! It will take awhile for all the shows I am about to see and saw last night to sink in, because everytime I see them it's like I am in a dream. I cannot wait to see them tonight! Oh yeah I will also be taking video of the new songs tonight, and I will post them here in a day or so.

This is probably only the second album this year that I have been obsessed with (the other being the Raconteurs 'Broken Boy Soldiers'). The songs are so much better than I thought they would be, the way they all come together is very magical aswell! Thom Yorke's The Eraser comes out July 11th in the States, make sure you BUY IT!

I have been patiently waiting, well no I haven't, ever since it was announced that Thom Yorke was going to release a solo album. I wanted to hear it so badly, and well last night it leaked, a month an a couple weeks before it's July 11th release date! Let me tell you people, it is so incredible. At first I was scepticle about a Thom Yorke solo record, but damn, I fell in love with it after the first listen! Of course I am not going to tell you how to get the album, you need to buy it when it comes out. I will in the next few days have a track by track analyse. Right not out of 10 I would give The Eraser 9.5/10.

Well how about this for a nice sunday rumor. If you haven't seen Gnarls Barkley's two tv performances, well then you suck. Anyways, when they play "Crazy" they change the arrangement from the album version. Well this isn't real news this is a rumor I am making up. How cool would it be if sometime near the end of the summer or maybe end of the year Gnarls Barkley comes out with a "Crazy" EP? The EP could be like 5 or 6 track with different arrangements of the song. Something for all you Gnarls heads to thing about and if it does happen, you heard it here first. I will probably post the performance on Conan sometime soon, or within the next week. Happy 500 Day!

Fuse - A Truley Horrible Music Station

For reals, I believe this station only started up a couple years ago, and when it did, I thought there might be some promise with this Music Television station. The first time I turned the tube to fuse, who was on, Eisley, one of my favorite bands, well, rrr, used to be one of my favorite bands. I thought to myself "damn, it's about time someone started a tv station geared 100% toward music videos." Well over the last couple of years I have seen this channel being taken over by those whiney bitch emo, candy punk, aweful indie, and stupid trash metal type thang. Luckily as an american consumer I can choose not to watch this station, but dammit, I hate it, I hate those aweful genres, and dammit, damn. I never thought in my lifetime a music tv station could make MTV look good. Unbelievable!

One of my favorite albums of 2005 was Dangerdoom's "Mouse and the Mask" album. Dangerdoom is comprised of Danger Mouse and MF Doom. Anyways if you head over to the Adult Swim page you can download a remix of the track "Sofa King" it is a pretty nice little remix. Later this month I believe they are going to put up the entire album remixed so watch out for that ya'll!

Raconteurs Tonight

A little while ago I got back from seeing an in store performance by the Raconteurs! The Raconteurs is Jack White's new band. The performance was very interesting. During the middle of the first song the PA system pooped out, which was kind of funny/annoying. These things happen I guess. As for their actual performance, I would rate it a 7/10. They obviously haven't rehearesed a whole lot, but I imagine once they get going on their tour they will become tight!
They also released an album Tuesday "Broken Boy Soldiers" I would give the album a 9/10. Probably my favorite album of 2006 so far, "St. Elsewhere" by Gnarls Barkley would be a close second. I will get into my rankings later.
